Reasoning with the sceptical
There are still plenty of people who resist all the evidence on human induced climate change. Many others may believe it is happening but feel there is no point in trying to do anything about it. This website gives little space and no credence to these views but it is helpful to be prepared to counter arguments.
It is also important to remember that the earth’s climate experiences considerable natural variation. It is not possible or correct to claim that all unusual weather is a result of climate change – such an over simplification simply reinforces the sceptic’s viewpoint. What matters are the overall patterns rather than isolated one-off events.
