Group structures
However tedious it may be to set up a group with aims and boundaries, they are necessary to keep the group focused and motivated. It will also help to keep strong- minded individuals from leading the group off into very different directions. A group structure and up to date records or minutes will also be beneficial if the group ever want to look for funding or training.
There are a number of aims and models that groups can follow, with organisations providing regular updates for their local group members. Take time to investigate these and decide which organisations have aims that most closely replicate your focus and purpose.
