Information and Training
There are some good workshops, courses and support for groups of all kinds; some free; some requiring fees. There are also a number of useful networks to link in with. Some of these arrange networking opportunities.
Look out for open days when you will have the opportunity to speak to people with experience.

Our group (which is fairly new) wants to offer household energy surveys. Can any groups recommend the best way of going about this - good surveys, how to organise and promote the idea?
Off Grid, Off Oil @ Camas Centre, Isle of Mull
May 9th – 15th 2009
Join us at the Camas Centre on the Isle of Mull for a week experiencing and discussing life on the other side of the oil revolution. Using the renovated Camas as our base and case study (with off grid electricity, locally produced and fair traded food, environmentally friendly toilets, simple lifestyle, and valuing its natural surroundings), this is a week to explore how we can live a satisfying and enjoyable low carbon life. It flows from the Iona Community's commitment to the Christian Aid 'Cut the Carbon Campaign' and will be of interest to people in Eco-congregations and those curious about what life might be like without oil. Start by travelling to Camas by public transport and sharing with others any difficulties you have had in getting here!
Raymond Young, a Regeneration Consultant and Member of the Iona Community, will be leading 5 days of discussion and activities on the theme of 'Off Grid, Off Oil', assisted by the staff at Camas.
£210 (inc. VAT) for 6 nights (Saturday – Friday morning) including all food, accommodation and activities.
