Grey water
In the UK all the water that runs through our systems is fit for drinking – whether it comes out of our taps, or is used in toilets, washing machines and showers. This is a considerable waste of resources in terms of the purification costs. Run off from taps, baths and showers can be collected and re-used to flush toilets. This recycled water is known as grey water. It requires a large tank with a strainer and some re-plumbing work.
