There is no plan B, no planet B and no way of reversing climate change. All we can do is slow it down…

Energy

Energy efficient homes

The energy used by the average household in heating, lighting and running household appliances, usually makes up at least a third of the average person's carbon footprint. There are many opportunities to improve the efficiency of our homes, particularly in the way we can reduce heating bills. With energy costs soaring, you don't just need to be motivated by concern over climate change, but by saving a considerable amount of money.

Most measures to do with energy efficiency are rather boring and sometimes time consuming. However, improving the insulation of roofs, walls, floors as well as doors and windows, so that heat is retained in the house, instead of lost, can reduce heating bills by more than half. And the good news is that once done, they rarely need any maintenance.
