Micro wind turbines have become something of a fashion accessory in recent years. However, though they certainly draw attention to ‘green credentials’, small household models are generally not a particularly useful investment in towns and cities in terms of the power generated. They are better used on exposed west facing hillsides or as large scale community or investment projects.
