Wood fuel
Although burning wood releases carbon dioxide, no more is released than if trees are left to rot, thus making wood a carbon neutral fuel.
Wood as a fuel should come from sustainable sources – where more trees are being planted to replace those cut for fuel. Many areas of the UK are ideal for growing timber for fuel – where soils are poor, on hilly ground or in more isolated areas. Wood as fuel offers huge potential and is a growing market.

We've seen wood prices double here in the past year as demand soars. Its seems really hard to get dry wood - suppliers all claim to provide seasoned wood but it never is. Always needs a year to dry but not everyone has the space to store and dry wood. We need some kind of labelling system (like the energy efficiency label) to check up on wood suppliers. Any ideas?
