Caring for our global neighbours
In the context of climate change, neighbours will also be those who suffer the consequences of our lifestyles in terms of carbon emissions. Poor people around the world will bear nearly all the negative consequences of climate change – in terms of drought, flooding, food security, lack of safe water, more intense cyclones and hurricanes, increased disease, intensive heatwaves – the list is extensive and sobering.
