Travel by bicycle
Using a bike has lots of benefits; no carbon emissions, low cost, keeps users healthy and enables them to enjoy the surroundings. Bike lanes in some areas help to reduce the hazards in urban areas, but plenty more are needed. Sustrans have done a great job in campaigning for cycle routes, bike parks and lanes but there remains plenty of scope for improvements. Some cities now enable people to borrow bikes for city travel, while bike hire can benefit your holidays.
